My experience resembles Luigi's.
Considering Hoppe Land Surveying, P.C., also known as www.newyorksurveyor.com or www.hoppelandsurveyor.com? Here’s why you might want to think twice.
Initial Promises and Communication
Initially, communication with Hoppe Land Surveying, P.C. seemed smooth. They had worked for the former owner, and Stephen's father told me over the phone that they would update the original survey drawing with changes at no additional cost as a part of the staking job.
Delays and Unreliability
After making the payment, I expected them to begin the next day (January 4, 2024). Instead, they didn’t start until almost two months later (February 28, 2024). Despite their claim that the job would take less than a week, it only proceeded after numerous reminder calls from me.
Lack of Professionalism
When they finally did the staking, they left without any communication. I had to reach out to confirm if the job was even completed. I regret trusting them to do the job/paying ahead of their completion. I now have to hire another firm to finish the job.
Poor Follow-Up and Excuses
Each time I inquired about the drawing, I was either ignored or given excuses about their email issues, along with promises to call me back, which never happened. My email tracker confirmed they read my emails before making these excuses. I have not heard from them since.
Conclusion: Do Not Hire Hoppe Land Surveying, P.C.
Though they don’t seem malicious, their incompetence is evident. If you need your job completed professionally and on time, avoid Hoppe Land Surveying, P.C., Stephen Hoppe, and Zachary Mufson.

Stephen is AMAZING. My husband and I found out at the last minute that we needed our new house surveyed otherwise our closing would be delayed. I called my lawyers recommendation and their price was expensive in my opinion for at best a 1 week turn time. I called Stephen and he not only agreed to survey the house the very next day but would also send the survey that very same night all for $75.00 more than the recommended surveyor. The rush pricing was fair and he came through in every way. Thanks to him my closing date remained on schedule and we are so relieved!
