From its inception, the firm sought to provide quality-engineering services to its clients while fostering an environment that uses administration as a tool and not a hindrance.The name CTS, which stands for Civil Transportation and Structural, was adopted to reflect the collective expertise of the founding members.

At CTS we have assembled a highly qualified staff of licensed engineering professionals. Our engineering staff is complemented by an excellent drafting group, by an accessible and efficient in-house Land Surveying group, and by principals committed to hands on leadership. The results are a technically strong and capable team known for the delivery of superior products, which meet project schedules and budgets.
Our clients include a wide range of public and private agencies throughout the Pacific Northwest. CTS has offered its clients innovative designs, quality engineering and superb customer services for two decades. Extensive local government experience in the financing, planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of municipal infrastructure gives the Public Works Division the unique perspective and focus required to develop successful municipal infrastructure projects. We take a long view recognizing that a public project may take one or two years from inception through construction and acceptance but will be in service for twenty years, fifty years, or even longer.Our staffs, including seven professional engineers assigned to public works have experience in all aspects of municipal practice.
Building Design that creatively adapts to form and function, utilizes different design concepts including performance-based engineering. The Bridge Engineering staff is accustomed to working with Local, State and Federal Government and their standards. CTS not only works with the client to produce cost effective solutions but is also sensitive to their constraints and concerns.
