We are a minority information services company providing civil engineering, land surveying, mapping, and GIS services since 1963. We also specialize in digitizing, measuring, and 3D printing the real world using the latest 3D laser scanning and imaging hardware and software workflows. Over the past 50 years the firm has completed a wide range of projects throughout Hawaii, the Trust Territories and the South Pacific, serving Federal, State and local governments, and the private sector.Studies, designs and construction cost estimates have been prepared for over 1,000 civil engineering projects ranging in size from $20,000 to $300,000,000.
Sam O. Hirota, Inc. is supporting the restoration and rebirth of the Kona Village resort with state-of-the-art aerial photogrammetry. These high-resolution, GPS-encoded images will help planners reconstruct and improve the site. Sam O. Hirota, Inc. as Master Engineering Consultant provided civil engineering planning and permitting services for transportation, a wastewater treatment system, electrical engineering and communications. Land surveying services included shoreline certification, a boundary study, topographic site survey.
Serving 300 students in grades K - 1, this state-of-the-art facility is comprised of six buildings, integrated with several outdoor learning and play spaces. Creative Learning Center with spaces for art and music, as well as housing administration, offices and a health room. Civil engineering services were provided for the kindergarten and first grade facilities, roadway and parking.
