Kapitan Engineering

Kapitan Engineering has been designing and implementing cable networks for utilities throughout Wisconsin since 1960. In 1998, the Company's service portfolio expanded to include Land Surveying for the commercial and private sectors. While Kapitan Engineering continues to provide construction staking and topographic site surveys for our utility clients, the company's primary role is Engineering fiber optic broadband networks and project implementation.

Today's broadband providers are faced with rapidly evolving technology, government mandates, and ever-increasing demands on in-house staff and resources. Kapitan Engineering provides the ideal, cost effective alternative to hiring additional staff - you'll avoid ongoing overhead and pay only for services needed and only when needed.

Our engineers specialize in developing comprehensive network designs for communications providers, including Rural Utilities Service (formerly REA), CLECs (competitive local exchange carriers), and private networks. We draw from our expertise to develop a practical cost effective network design for you.

The funding will extend an existing municipal fiber-to-the-premise network operated by the City of Reedsburg to the surrounding rural area to provide affordable advanced broadband service to residents and businesses that are currently confined to traditional dial-up, wireless, and satellite services.
