Services
Purchasing a home or commercial piece of real estate is a big commitment that often spans many years. In addition to the commitment, with the purchase of any property there are many moving parts and pieces: the buyer, the seller, lenders (banks, mortgage companies, etc.), property appraisers, title searches, title insurance companies, title insurance policies, property inspections, land surveys, and depending on the size of the transaction many other things could be needed.
In the matter of dealing with contracts, an attorney is to assist their client with any uncertainties the involved parties may encounter or experience in coming to a fair agreement. White Law Firm is here to assist and explain any contract to you no matter how simple or complex. Everyone should have a will.
As an added benefit to our clients who are buying real estate, we have been issuing title insurance policies for the past thirty years. We currently write title insurance policies through Old Republic Title Insurance Company. Old Republic is one of the nations largest title insurance groups. It is headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, but has company owned offices throughout the nation, including a local office in Columbia, SC.

I called to discuss a survey issue Arthur White had done for my property where I was physically 18 feet short on the back side of my property based on his survey that was filled with Lexington County. The only markings on my property were painted trees, a cattle fence post, and one iron pipe. I have one side that has absolutely no markings at all, front corner or back.
No buried rebar, no markers, nothing! I borrowed a friend's metal detector to verify that mine wasn't detecting. He called back once while I was in a meeting at work. My first attempt calling him back he was out of office and I asked the secretary to let him know I called, and my second attempt has gone unanswered for four days now. If you want timely response of any type, I would avoid this surveyor.
