Services
Welch Associates was founded in 1993 and is certified as a Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) and a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) by the State of Massachusetts and the State of Rhode Island. Our Professional Land Surveyors are registered in four New England states and are supported by a talented and professional staff of 16.
Welch Surveyors has been providing construction layout services to prominent New England contractors since 1993. Our field surveyors have substantial experience laying out multi-story buildings, monitoring Amtrak rails, providing site layout and performing as-built surveys. Our crews are supported by an office staff that are experts in the review of architectural and structural design plans. They assist the contractor and the design team in the resolution of discrepancies before they become a problem during construction.
An Existing Conditions Survey (ECS) is the foundation of all building and site improvement projects. The information provided on an ECS includes locations of all visible site improvements, accurate locations of property lines and easements, locations of above ground and below ground utilities, wetland resource area locations, flood plain zone identification, property ownership data and much more. To ensure the design and construction phases of the project flow smoothly, it is critical that a complete and accurate ECS is performed.
Utilizing our company boat and well trained personnel, Welch performs surveys of river beds and reservoirs in the New England area. Wetland flags and other environmental resource area delineations are surveyed and mapped for use in the design of various projects. To aid in defining significant hazardous waste areas, Welch performs AUL surveys which are then put on record with the appropriate government agencies. The staff at Welch are also 40 hour OSHA certified.
