Topographic Surveys show the elevations of the property and useful in establishing contour lines. These surveys are also used for planning and design, drainage studies and to establish the limits of a flood plain. Great to work with a company that takes pride not only in their work but the entire project.
A professional Land Surveyor is a person who has qualified by education and experience, and who has passed an examination for registration required by the State of Illinois to practice Land Surveying in Illinois. Fandel's Land Surveying is the ONLY land surveyor my family has used. My parents needed their property surveyed to tear down a house and build a new one. His survey was quick and delivered ahead of time. ADDITIONALLY, when I bought a house, thanks to his land survey, I discovered that the fence around my property was nearly 1.5 ft inside my property. I was able to later move it out, reclaiming land that belonged to me. Definitely worth it!

Do not give this "company" your business. I ordered a land survey for a closing on a rush basis. He assured us it could get turned around and that we'd have it no later than the day before the closing. When we called the day before the closing, he said he never agreed to take on the work. His answers to direct questions were evasive and vague. He offered no solutions or apologies.
I will be reporting him to any applicable regulatory body and telling the title companies I work with about this experience. What a disaster. My poor client will be incredibly inconvenienced because of him.
