Polena Engineering, LLC was a pleasure to work with and did a fine job doing my plat of survey even in the cold of Winter at the most reasonable price among many highly recommended surveyors who offered to do the work for me. An electronic copy of said survey was emailed to me and then I was able to pick up the large hard copy at my leisure from their Wheaton office which was within a short driving distance from me.

I must say this was an overall pleasant experience. It took about 2 weeks for them to come out however they were very courteous in making my property the 1st of the day when they came out due to a major concrete job pending and needed the lines marked. They went a step further as to put in an extra steak and extra spray line so my concrete guys had better access to their lasers.
Not sure what plat surveys typically cost but I paid $500 for the survey and an extra $50 to have the marks made. I truly believe that it was a GOOD deal for their great work and thoroughness of their job. They finished faster than they expected and worked on a day 92°+ and that's always a great thing. I would highly recommend them and will be using them on my other properties as well.

I had them do a updated survey on our home from when we purchased it in 2011. They did our update in 2018. Somehow, what was our property, no longer was our property and a neighbor brought us to court. When subpoenaed, they didn't show; finding out later they were involved with a fraudulent resubdavision they had done in 2010. I had to have them come out 3 times. Somehow, our brick house changed lengths.
They forgot to add parts of the survey via fence on the survey. Many inaccuracies on labeling. Save your money and go with a trusted company that isn't fraudulent. Even if you think you're saving money with an update. They will claim land moves. Ended up having to hire another company after to find out the truth. Our property was correct and, no land doesn't magically move or shift within 10 years time.
