Seiler Surveying and Engineering was originally founded in the early 1960s by Justin Seiler. Justin and his crew surveyed land, engineered, designed, and platted subdivisions, and performed many mortgage location surveys. In 2004, Chad became part owner of the company, which became what it is called now, Seiler and Craig Surveying, Inc. In 2008, Chad became the sole owner. He employs his two sons, Toby and Cory, who are in the process of become professional licensed land surveyors, as well as three other full time employees.
Services
The American Land Title Association and the National Society of Professional Surveyors have established standards used by title insurance companies and lending institutions for commercial loans. These standards are significantly higher and more complex than those established by state and local governments for boundary surveys.
Seiler and Craig's fees for surveying services are based on a number of factors. These include the scope of the project, the hours needed to complete work, terrain, vegetation, requested completion date, and the availability of previously monumented boundary corners. In short, we do not have set fees for our services.
A "pin" or "pinned" survey is technical jargon for a boundary survey. It probably comes from the fact that iron rods, commonly called iron pins, would be set on property corners as a result of the boundary survey. We're refinancing our home, and the out of state lender wants us to provide them with (I think they called it) a "Print", or a "Location Print", or an "ID Survey", or something like that from a surveyor. What do we need, and can you help us?. The item being requested is a Mortgage Location Survey.

Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness Be ready to wait a long time. Took a year and a half to complete our land survey after multiple calls and e-mails begging for follow up. Very disappointing experience, wouldn't recommend.
