Compass Surveying

Just got our survey back today and everything was done within a timely manner. We got a great quote and the person that did our survey explained everything and was very nice. No issues at all and we got what we needed.

I initially contacted Compass for a fence survey based on a recommendation from the contracted fence company. I called and did not get an answer, so I contacted Brian via email. Let me just say to any that have read a negative review because they could not contact this company via phone, Mr. Caldwell is VERY responsive via email! Totally understandable in my opinion because they are out in the field working!

I actually requested they come back for a full survey a week later because of a disagreement with a neighbor (a whole story I won't bore you with), and Mr. Caldwell fit me in, got the job done in a timely manner, answered ALL of my questions (no matter how trivial), and didn't charge me an arm and a leg! I would absolutely recommend Compass Surveying and would use them again.

Unfortunately, my husband and I did not have the opportunity to work with this company. When you call, you only get voicemail and an automated text saying "my phone does not work well from this location. Please text the type of survey you require and the address. I will get you a price as soon as I can" He does respond rather quickly, however, when trying to get a date set up he told my husband "whenever it stops raining" That is not a date!

Then he says he could do Friday or Monday. We asked which Friday? This Friday or Next Friday? Last time we checked the weather it was supposed to rain the rest of the week. His response was "If you don't understand weather permitting you should get someone else. There's a hurricane coming" Who talks to a (potential) customer like for trying to get clarity?

We are extremely disappointed with the level of unprofessionalism and also did not like the fact that they NEVER answer the phone, everything is via text. Well Mr. Caldwell, we surely will "get someone else" and take our money elsewhere. Unbelievable!

I called this company on a Friday, when another company quoted me 15 business days to get my land surveyed and staked out for a fence. Brian got me scheduled for the upcoming Monday and then rescheduled for a sooner date, Sunday, to ensure I would receive the services to be provided as he proactively saw it was going to rain on that Monday. Pete came out and was very professional, timely, and knowledgeable. I will highly recommend this company to others as I am very pleased and impressed with the affordable service!

Called in for estimate & Mr. Caldwell responded to my inquiry by saying he was too old to take on the job. Being a newcomer to this industry, I was very disappointed by the level of service I received. I do not doubt this company does good work, but for this reason I would never refer anyone to this company.

We hired these folks to stake out our property for a fence. I feel terrible that I didn't write down the young man's name who did the job, because he was wonderful! He was courteous, thoughtful about making sure I understood the results of the survey, and never complained about the work. (He had to hack through some woods to find some of the lines.) Add to this that their price was reasonable, (I got other estimates), and he was ON TIME. I even received a call to make sure he'd arrived. I will make sure I recommend this business in the future.

Professional surveyors. Brian stayed in touch and worked within my schedule. The service was prompt. He saves me a lot of money on my flood insurance. Cost was very appropriate. Billing was quick, easy payment with PayPal, and the Elevation Certificate was received the next day. GREAT CIMPANY

Mr. Caldwell is such a wonderful man. I would recommend him to anyone. I ended up not using Compass only because another surveyor already had experience with the property I needed surveyed and it honestly left me so disappointed to not work with him. Before I even contracted him he helped me figure out some issues with my property and took the time to explain some of the jargon I didn't understand. Very nice people! I highly recommend!

Reliable, reasonably price and prompt! I'm very happy for the service provided by Brian Caldwell and his team. I needed a fence survey to be complete during the holidays and out three requests for estimates, the one from Compass was the fastest one. Appt was kept on time and work was thoroughly done by his team. I'm very please with the services.
